Participation

Leadership Shelby County seeks individuals who are willing to commit to a program that will enrich their lives and the community. Leadership Shelby County celebrates diversity and is open to any person residing or working within Shelby County.

Program

Over a nine-month period, class members attend monthly seminars about specific topics of community interest and leadership. Each seminar is designed to inform class members about effective leadership qualities and styles, to educate them about the broad base of leadership opportunities in Shelby County, and to define members' potential roles in the future of Shelby County.

Participants are also required to complete a community project as a group and attend local public meetings.
