Who Is The Chamber?
- The Chamber is an association of business people, volunteering their time working together to build a growing, dynamic community. This not-for-profit corporation is financed solely by member investments and activities.
- The mission of the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce is to:
"Provide value added services and programs that create opportunities for our members and an improved quality of life in Shelby

What Does The Chamber Do?
Business Development
- Stages the annual Business & Industry Trade Fair.
- Organizes Ribbon Cuttings/Open House Ceremonies for networking opportunities.
- Maintains data on available industrial sites and buildings.
Member Participation Activities
- Organizes annual Membership and Awards Dinner.
- Organizes monthly Networking Luncheons.
- Organizes annual Cash Bash.
- Organizes annual Business and Industry Trade Fair.
- Organizes annual Golf Outing.
Community Involvement
- Works to involve businesses in our schools through Lifelong Learning.
- Improves appearance of community through efforts of the Beautification Committee.
- Meets with local officials to help plan orderly growth.
- Represents the community to state and federal organizations.
- Partner with The Shelbyville News on the First and Third Tuesday of every month to allow the community to learn about the Chamber and what we do for and with those living in Shelby County. An entire page is dedicated to Chamber news, current events, calendars, listing of new members, articles by Board members, positive information about the local education system, and highlighting existing members.
Information Outlet
- Provides demographics and a community resume' for potential business and industry.
- Publishes a monthly newsletter of Chamber happenings as well as a bulk mailing for additional information to members.
- Maintains a web site for the county.
